are going to study the new theme "Degrees of comparison of adjectives”. Degrees of comparison of adjectives. Сравнительная степень односложных прилагательных
образуется при помощи суффикса er, а превосходная
– при помощи суффикса est. Cheap
– cheaper – the cheapest. Если в конце односложного прилагательного за одной гласной
следует одна согласная, то согласная удваивается: Big
– bigger – the biggest. Если в конце прилагательного стоит согласная + y, то y меняется на i. Ex. 2 p.
