Who is taller?

Формирование знаний учащихся по теме «Степени сравнения имён прилагательных».

1) Обеспечить в ходе урока усвоение учащимися данной темы.

T: Good morning, dear children! Sit down! Who is on duty today? What date is it today? Who is absent today?

Ex. 1 p. 68 Put these words in the correct column.

Today we are going to study the new theme "Degrees of comparison of adjectives”.

Degrees of comparison of adjectives.

Сравнительная степень односложных прилагательных образуется при помощи суффикса er, а превосходная – при помощи суффикса est.

Cheap – cheaper – the cheapest.

Если в конце односложного прилагательного за одной гласной следует одна согласная, то согласная удваивается:

Big – bigger – the biggest.

Если в конце прилагательного стоит согласная + y, то y меняется на i.

Ex. 5 p. 69 Make a table for these adjectives and discuss the spelling.

Example: tall – taller – the tallest.

Ex. 8 p. 70 Match an adjective in A with its opposite in B. Check the meaning of new words in your dictionary.
