Acquaintance with the first 12 letters of the alphabet.

1) Help pupils to understand and study the first 12 letters of the alphabet.

2) Form pupils' interest to the studied subject.

3) Develop pupils' skills.

Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd, Ee, Ff, Gg, Hh, Ii, Jj, Kk, Ll.

The procedure of the lesson:

T: Hello, children! Sit down!

T: Hello, my name is Ilona Igorevna. What is your name?

S₁: My name is _______. Hello.

Today we;ll study with you the song that is called "What is your name?”

First listen to the song:

Now tell me, please,

What is your name?

My name is Carol.

My name is Carol.

My name is Carol.

That’s my name.

Now repeat after me in chorus line by line (then individually).

Divide into two parts and sing the song.

One of the pupils goes to the blackboard. The class will sing the first part of the song and the student at the blackboard the second part of it .

Presentation of the letters and their sounds.

Eg.: Letter Aa [ei] sounds: [ei] in open syllable;

                                            [æ] in closed syllable.

Letter Bb [bi:]  sound: [b]  , etc…
